Detroit Democrat John Conyers is running for a 27th consecutive term in Congress. Conyers won his 26th consecutive term in Detroit’s 13th District in the November 2014 general election. He was first elected in 1964 and has been in Congress since 1965. The 86-year-old congressman is scheduling news conferences.
