Man who jumps White House fence has day in court

White House Fence

The 22-year-old Stanford, Connecticut man, Joseph Caputo, who jumped the White House fence on Thursday, had a day in court on Friday. Washington Correspondent Pat Piper says the decision to jump the fence was not a spontaneous decision. Caputo left two letters with the people he was saying with in Virginia. In one letter, he said he planned to die in the White House incident. The court records state he was wearing an American flag, he had a USB flash drive in the form of a Captain America shield, and he had a pocket guide to the Constitution. Under court order, Caputo will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
