Buying a newspaper on Monday goes for a good cause. The old newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund has city police officers and firefighters out selling papers. Donations are discretionary. The donations will be used to purchase gift packages for 34-thousand needy Metro Detroit children between the ages of four and 13. This year’s Goodfellows’ goal is $1.1 million.
