Presidential nominee Donald Trump says he knows what he saw and he doesn’t care what other people say: he is sticking by his claim that thousands of Muslims in the New York City region celebrated on 9/11. Correspondent Steve Kastenbaum says the man who was in charge in New York on that day, New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, said it didn’t happen. Giuliani is refuting Donald Trump’s claim that he saw “thousands of people” in New Jersey celebrating the 911 attacks. Appearing on CNN, Giuliani said it’s true, there were some “pockets of celebrating” but not the thousands the GOP presidential candidate says he saw on TV. Giuliani said there were “ten, 12, 30, 40” people celebrating, “some in Queens, some in Brooklyn.” The former mayor said had there been thousands celebrating, he would have known. He says the Republican presidential candidate is exaggerating.
