Ferndale police are investigating the shooting of a man on the 1700 block of Hazlehurst Street Thursday evening. A witness tells police a van or SUV- came down the street at a high rate of speed with the back door open. Shots were fired at the witness’ boyfriend, when he was getting out of his vehicle. The victim was shot in the neck and fell to the ground. The vehicle then fled.
