Tesla, and others, drop from 2016 Auto Show

Electric carmaker Tesla Motors is bowing out of next months 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Tesla joins Land Rover, BMW-mini, and Jaguar, all of which were in the main show at Cobo in 2015. NAIAS spokesman Max Muncey told Automotive News that the decision to drop from next year’s show is because “vehicle introductions did not sync with the show’s timing.” The show opens to the public on January 16th and Muncey believes the Detroit show will still be “jam packed” despite the missing automakers.
