An FBI agent was shot while working in a drug operation in Detroit on Thursday morning, in the area of Dacosta and Fenkell. The identity of the agent is not being released, but Detroit’s FBI Chief David Gelios said the agency was partaking in a two-day, multi-agency operation targeting heroin and crack cocaine dealers and distributors in Southeastern Michigan. The injured agent was attempting to execute a search warrant with the SWAT team and was shot as the team entered the home. The agent’s injury is not considered life threatening and he is at the hospital recovering. Four subjects are being detained for questioning in the shooting.
