Police investigating two attempted abduction reports of children this week in Hamtramck

Surveillance vid Hamt

Police are investigating two attempted abduction reports of children this week in Hamtramck. Police say the same man is suspected in both incidents, saying he offered children candy as they exited their school bus Thursday near I-75 and Commor Street. The children ignored the man.

Friday morning, a man fitting the same description tried to grab a girl near Casmere and Fleming Streets. She was able to get away. The man is described as a light-skinned black man standing about 6 feet tall. He looks to be in his 30’s. He has a medium build, a beard and he was wearing a black hoodie. His vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet Camaro with a white racing stripe down the center of the body (photo above). Anyone with information should call Hamtramck police at 313-876-7803.
