Livonia church property vandalized

St. Collette spray painting from Twitter

Livonia Police are looking for the vandals who spray painted St. Colette Church and the Felician Sisters’ convent. Red paint was sprayed on the statue of the Virgin Mary, the church, and the sidewalk. Anti-church messages were also written. The archdiocese is reminding parishes to keep an open eye out for the perpetrators.

Detroit police are also looking for some robbers after they used an upstairs window to make their way into a church on West Seven Mile and Lahser. The robbers tried to steal electronic equipment, but a motion detector set off an alarm and they left empty handed. The following church incidents are the latest in a series of church break-ins in the Detroit Metropolitan area within the past several months.
