Michigan State Police raided the Dearborn City Clerk’s office on Wednesday in connection to an ongoing embezzlement case. Boxes of evidence were carted out of the office. The raid surprised both Dearborn City Clerk Kathy and Deputy City Attorney Laurie Ellerbrake. Buda has worked for the city for close to 20 years. Authorities suspect evidence of embezzlement will be found on written records, computers, and tracks of voice conversations.
