Detroit has new medical marijuana ordinance

Medical marijuana

Detroit’s new medical marijuana ordinance may trigger the closing of many of Detroit’s marijuana stores. The city council voted on Thursday to place controls on marijuana dispensaries. The new ordinance states the shops must be at least 1,000 ft. away from churches, schools, liquor stores, and other marijuana shops. Detroit has approximately 150 pot shops, many of them illegal.
