Fox 2 Detroit reports a heartwarming story: As a victim of domestic violence, Angela Boyce, sustained abuse from her husband and homelessness. The non-profit agency Humble Design helped more Boyce and her children into a Woodhaven apartment, but they had to leave because of black mold. For the last several weeks, the family has been bounced from one place to another, even sleeping on floors. The Allstate insurance company gave Boyce a check for $2,500 and Humble Design helped her with a new place to live and furniture. They even went as far as having Boyce pick out the colors and furniture she likes. Boyce’s eyes filled with tears when she saw her new place and expressed her gratitude.
