Michigan’s population increases for fourth straight year

Michigan’s population increased for the fourth straight year in 2015, but the uptick may not be enough to prevent the state from losing a congressional seat after the 2020 census. U.S census data released Tuesday estimated the state gained 6,270 residents as of July.   North Dakota’s population had the biggest growth by percentage with  2.3% increase.
