A Dearborn police officer who struggled with a larceny suspect fatally shot the unarmed man on the city’s west side. Police say the officer pursued the man, who was suspected of larceny in Dearborn and wanted on a warrant in Redford Township. The officer chased the suspect into a backyard on Whitcomb Street. Police say a struggle over a gun ended with the officer shooting the suspect.
