A 55-year-old man has been arrested for killing his elderly father inside a Macomb Township home. Gregory Nieman is suspected of strangling is 89-year-old father, Donald Nieman. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says Gregory called police on Sunday morning, saying his father wasn’t breathing and he was cold to the touch. The deputies questioned Nieman at the home but released him. An autopsy confirmed Donald was manually strangled. Police then arrested Gregory and charged him with premeditated first-degree murder.
