Feds to investigate Flint water as Governor Snyder declares state of emergency

Federal officials are investigating the tainted water problems in Flint. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are stepping in to look at the contamination of Flint’s drinking water. A spokesperson with the U.S. Attorney’s Office couldn’t say if the investigation is criminal or civil. There have been a number of calls for a Justice Department investigation into the handling of Flint’s drinking water while the city was controlled by a state-appointed emergency manager.

Governor Snyder has declared a state of Emergency in Genesee County out to Flints Drinking water.
