Opponents of Ann Arbor deer cull file federal lawsuit

The deer cull wasn’t on the agenda, but that didn’t stop people from speaking out at the Ann Arbor City Council meeting on Monday. The group, Ann Arbor Residents For Public Safety, filed a federal lawsuit requesting a temporary restraining order to stop the city from carrying out the deer cull that the city council approved in November. The city council voted to have sharp shooters killed 100 dear during evening Ann Arbor park closures, between January and March. Deer cannot be shot within 450 feet of a person’s homes.
