RT says it received word from Iranian news channel IRIB that Iran is accusing Saudi Arabia of attacking the Iranian embassy in Yemen on Wednesday night. Guards were wounded in the attack. RT also reported a communication to Reuters from Saudi Arabia Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri, saying the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen will conduct an investigation of the accusation. Asseri confirmed heavy airstrikes on Wednesday night, but said attacks on the Houthi militia, which Saudi Arabia contends Iran supports, involves attacks on civilian facilities, including abandoned embassies. Iran is banning all imports from Saudi Arabia, which follows not only the Yemen embassy bombing but also Saudi Arabia’s execution of an Iranian cleric, Nimr al-Nimr, earlier this week.
