A high speed crash killed a young woman in Ecorse early Friday morning. Police are investigating the crash in a neighborhood near Outer Drive and 17th. A car driven by a man slammed into another car sending car parts flying, and killing the woman whose body was found thrown from the vehicle and found underneath a car. Another woman was taken to a hospital as was a man in the car that caused the crash. The driver of that car tried to run away, but police caught him. In the neighborhood, other vehicles and some houses were damaged from flying metal. Ecorse Police Chief Mike Moore described the scene
