Judge to hear arguments regarding Ann Arbor deer cull

Deer in woods

After the Ann Arbor City Council voted to cull 100 deer in Ann Arbor parks during evening hours, a group of residents filed a lawsuit to stop the killings. A hearing is scheduled on Monday in Detroit Federal Court to determine whether the sharpshooters will be allowed to take aim at the deer population in the Ann Arbor. Those for and against the deer cull will be allowed to present their arguments in court before a judge determines if he will issue a temporary injunction to stop the deer shootings, pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
