The 73rd Golden Globe results

Golden Globe

The top three awards went to the same film, “The Revenant.” “The Revenant” received Best Motion Picture, Alejandro Inarritu for Best Director, and Best Drama Film Actor to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Best actress in a dramatic film went to Brie Larson for her role in the movie “Room,” which is about a woman who escaped from years of being held captive with her 5-year-old boy.

Best comedy film was “The Martian.” It’s star Matt Damon took the Best actor in a comedy film trophy and Jennifer Lawrence won the Golden Globe for Best actress in a motion picture comedy.

There were some emotional moments too one when Sylvester Stallone won a supporting actor honor for “Creed,” another Rocky Balboa role. Stallone remarked it was 1977 Rocky that he was last here says he’s learned a lot in those nearly 40 years.

Best performance by actress in a supporting role in a motion picture wen to Kate Winslet for “Steve Jobs.” “Steve Jobs” also won for Best screenplay, motion picture: Aaron Sorkin.

Ricky Gervais was the host for the fourth time: just as irreverent and just as raunchy but in the eyes and ears of the Hollywood Foreign Press he could do no wrong.

The bottom line as we head into this Thursday’s Oscar nominations we have a front-runner, The Revenant, but in the next seven weeks as award show season continues, anything can happen.
