Governor Snyder activates National Guard in Flint water crisis

Governor Snyder  has activated the National Guard to help distribute bottled water and filters in Flint.  He’s requested support from the FEMA and  other federal agencies could be used as well. Snyder declared a state of emergency for Genesee County on January 5 because of the high levels of lead in the city of Flint’s drinking water. Flint parents are urged to test children. The National Guard is expected to start arriving in Flint on Wednesday to assist with response efforts.
