Preliminary exam schedule for men involved in Eastland Mall shooting

A preliminary examination is scheduled on Wednesday for three Detroit men charged in a fatal shooting at the Eastland Mall. Facing first degree murder charges are 18-year-old Brendon Stanton-Lipscomb and two 17-year-olds: Demetrius Armour and Tyshon Taylor. Eighteen-year-old Tyrell Lane was shot several times the day after Christmas as he walked out of the Burlington Coat Factory at the mall. Police did not comment on the shooting, but did say that it was not a random act and Lane was the target of the attack. Police do say that Stanton-Lipscomb was the gunman and Armour drove a getaway car. Police used surveillance cameras at the mall to identify the suspects.
