EPA Official in Charge of Michigan Resigns

Susan Hedron

Susan Hedman, Regional Administrator of region 5 of The Environmental Protection Agency, which oversees Michigan, has turned in her resignation effective February 1. The Environmental Protection Agency is being accused of not doing enough to warn Flint citizens of elevated lead levels in their drinking water. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy has accepted Hedman’s resignation and will continue to focus on Flint’s drinking water, according to an EPA spokesperson.
