Earthquake hits Alaska

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska endured a 7.1 magnitude earthquake early Sunday morning. The quake’s epicenter hit near Cook Inlet, 162 miles southwest of Anchorage, and 50 miles deep. Professional photographer Joshua Veldstra said the earthquake last approximately 30 seconds. Two smaller earthquakes, 4.0 and 3.2 magnitudes, were reported 30 minutes later. No major damage or injuries have been reported.
