Two Northern Michigan men charged with supplying heroin caught in Detroit

Two men, who are considered big time heroin suppliers, are now in jail in Northern Michigan after being arrested in Detroit. The two drug suspects, charged as major heroin suppliers, were tracked down on Cadillac Street, on Detroit’s East Side. They were under surveillance from a Wayne County – Grand Traverse police task force. Many people consider Northern Michigan as an escape from the crime they see in the big city, but law enforcement officials say drugs have permeated the northern Michigan cities in recent years, triggering waves of break ins, thefts, and armed robberies by people looking for money to buy their drugs. Police from Iasco County told WJR they and local communities are swamped with drug crimes.
