Former State Representative Cindy Gamrat takes on surveillance abuse

Gamrat Testify

Former State Legislator Cindy Gamrat, who was ousted from office after her affair with former State Representative, Todd Courser, was exposed is launching a new program to combat surveillance abuse. According to a press release, StopSurveillanceAbuse.com is designed to help people who find they are living under surveillance. Gamrat says her estranged husband, Joe Gamrat, victimized her when he electronically monitored her communications and tape her affair with Courser. She said because of her experience and after talking to others, she realized there was nowhere to go for help. Once the Courser affair was made public, Courser resigned and Gamrat was expelled from the state house. MLive reports Gamrat says this is a real issue and people are afraid to talk about it.
