Students, teacher at East English Village Preparatory Academy in Detroit clash with police

The continuing crisis in Detroit Public Schools spilled out to a Detroit street today. About 35 students from the East English Village Preparatory Academy walked out of their classes at noon today along with a teacher. They met in the street with two By Any Means Necessary organizers. The group marched along the street.The district said school police repeatedly asked the group to get out of the street and on to the sidewalk. When they did not comply, the three adults in the group were taken into custody. One was pepper sprayed in the incident according to the district. The protesters say they were grabbed and pepper sprayed.  The district says all of the adults will be charged.
