Detroit police report a barricaded gunman in the 6400 block of Artesian on Detroit’s west side. Police said a woman reported an assault by her boyfriend, who then fled to a neighbor’s home. The woman believes there are other people within the home, including a child. Police are requesting people avoid the barricaded area.
UPDATE: Carver STEM Academy, which is located near Artesian, is on lockdown for precautionary measures.
