Report: Calvin Johnson Told Inner Circle, Lions 2015 Season Would be His Last

There has been a lot of speculation about Calvin Johnson’s future with the Lions and NFL since the end of the regular season. According to an ESPN report that surfaced today, Megatron told the his friends, family and The Lions that the 2015 campaign would be his last before the regular season began. Johnson reiterated his intentions to retire to head coach Jim Caldwell the day after the regular season ended. With 11,619 yards, 83 touchdowns and 731 receptions, Johnson is the Lions’ all time leading receiver in just about every category. The 6 time pro bowler set the NFL single season record for reception yards in 2012 with 1,964 yards. The Lions have not given up hopes of Johnson returning for another season imploring the former first round draft pick to take his time in making his decision.
