Wahlburgers in Greektown coming this summer

Actor Mark Wahlberg is bringing his popular burger restaturant Wahlburgers to Detroit and it will be opening this summer in Greektown. “My family and I are grateful to be part of the rebuilding of the great city of Detroit with the summer opening of Wahlburgers,” he said. Mark owns the chain along with brothers Paul Wahlberg and  NKOTB’s Donnie Wahlberg.

“Our organization has gotten to know the Wahlberg brothers over time, and they share our deep passion for urban revitalization. They’re perfect for Greektown in the heart of downtown Detroit.” said Mark Dunkeson, president and chief operating officer of JACK Entertainment LLC, which operates the casino.

The A&E reality show Wahlburgers, now in its fifth season, documented Wahlberg family’s effort to start their own burger chain. It helped popularize the expanding enterprise. The Greektown restaurant is the first of six Wahlburgers in the works for Metro Detroit. The 4,200 square-foot restuarant will serve lunch and dinner and feature a full bar.
