Detroit Police seek assistance in finding suspects who robbed woman on city’s west side

The Detroit Police Department is looking for two suspects wanted for a robbery that occurred on the city’s west side.

During the early morning hours of March 15, 2016  in the area of Fairfield and Puritan, a 50 year-old female victim was robbed by two suspects. The female victim and male witness were waiting for their ride to work, when they were approached by the suspects. The first suspect grabbed the victim, pushed her and another woman against the wall, and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim struggled with the suspect and he threw her to the ground, and pulled her purse away from her. The male witness intervened. The suspects fled in a turquoise Chevy Cavalier. The victim was not injured.

The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1 – Black male, 30, 5’9”, 200 lbs., short afro, dark complexion and wearing gray clothing.  Suspect #2 – Black male, 30, dark complexion
