Opening Day in Detroit: fast facts

Gates open at 11 a.m. for the 1:10 p.m. start.  Pregame festivities will start at 12:40 p.m. Kirk Gibson will throw out the first pitch.

Pregame will include: A flyover with a pair of A-10 Thunderbolt “Warthog” aircraft from the 107th Fighter Squadron which  part of the 127th Wing based at the Selfridge Air National Guard base.The national anthem will be performed by a youth brass ensemble from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
