Detroit Animal Control Center Shut Down Until January

More trouble for the Detroit Animal Care and Control building. City Health Department officials are looking to find the source of an upper respiratory infection that has stricken many of the animals being cared for at the DAC. As part of the investigation and containment process… the building will be closed until January 2nd, Officials say some of the animals are being moved temporarily to another shelter on Joseph Campau. It’s unclear how many animals are affected by the respiratory illness.
