A Detroit grandmother is in custody after a 13-year-old boy was killed at her home while teenage boys were playing with her gun. She was at work.
Police said several grandchildren of the woman invited a 13-year-old boy to the home on Tireman.
The four boys were playing video games when the boys picked up the grandmother’s gun to try to scare the 13-year-old,
Police said the gun went off and the bullet hit the 13-year-old visitor in the chest.
Police said they believe the shooting is a result of a gun owner failing to properly secure a weapon.
