An update on the fire at Boyne Highlands. The man police say was seen running with a fire extinguisher is in jail. Authorities say the man ran from a security guard and sprayed a fire extinguisher at him during the fire Sunday.
David Soltysiak, of Petoskey, has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. He was arraigned and remained in jail .
Authorities say the guard was trying to evacuate guests when he saw Soltysiak holding a fire extinguisher and not helping with the evacuation. When the guard told Soltysiak to drop it, he sprayed him, then ran.
Twelve people were injured Sunday in a fire at the main lodge at Boyne Highlands. One man remains in critical condition.
