A second suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of a West Bloomfield woman who was found dead in a burning car last week.
Jaylen Stringer faces evidence tampering and accessory after the fact. He was arraigned and is being held at the Oakland County Jail. DeSean Smith, 18, is charged with murder and arson in Diana Pesserl’s death.
Pesserl, 31, died of a single gunshot wound to her abdomen. Police said Smith was visiting a friend a few houses down from Pesserl, who was sitting in her car listening to music, when Smith left his friend’s house and killed her in a possible carjacking attempt. Stringer is accused of helping Smith cover up the murder.
