Electors Meet Today To Vote For Trump

Michigan electors will cast their votes for president for Donald trump today .
Protesters are expected in Lansing this afternoon.

Their purpose …to disrupt today’s electoral college vote.

The 16 members of the Michigan electoral college casting their ballot are required by law to vote for the winner of the state’s popular vote. Trump won by a slim margin over Hillary Rodham Clinton.

If they don’t, there’s a provision in the law that their position then become vacant.

The rest of the electors would then appoint someone to take their place.
One elector, 22 year old Michael Banerian of Bloomfield Twp., says he has gotten death threats to change his vote from Trump to Clinton.
