Two men charged in the murder of a West Bloomfield woman are due in court today.
The body of 31 year old Diana Pesserl had been found in the trunk of her burned out car behind the closed Pine Lake Elementary school on December 9th.
18 year old Desean Smith of Detroit has been charged with open murder.
19 year old Jaylen Stringer of West Bloomfield Township has been charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Smith had been visiting Stringer.
Authorities believe Pesserl, who lived nearby, was sitting in her car when Smith walked up and shot her in what they believe was a robbery or carjacking attempt.
Officials say Smith has a pending carjacking case in Wayne county.
Police say footprints in the snow at the burned out car matched those of Smith.
A gun was later found hidden in a heating vent at Stringer’s house.
Police say Stringer has made comments to police implicating Smith as the killer.
