Authorities say an elderly couple died late Friday of carbon monoxide poisoning because they were running a generator in an enclosed garage in Leoni Township near Jackson.
75 year old Lonnie Sibbett and 70 year old Leona Sibbett were found between the generator and the door to the interior of the house on Munith Road. The house was without power.
A concerned relative had not been able to contact them and called police.
