Flint Water Case Back In Court

A hearing was  scheduled for today involving two of the people facing charges involving the Flint water crises.
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has charged 14 current and former state and local officials with wrongdoing.

Defendants Steve Busch and Michael Prysby have challenged whether they qualify as being a public office holder as stated in the law by which they were charged.

Their arguments will be heard in a court hearing scheduled for today.

Busch served as the Lansing and Jackson district supervisor for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s Office of Water and Municipal assistance.

Prysby had been a district engineer for the Department of Environmental Quality.

Both are facing charges of misconduct in office and tampering with evidence and have preliminary exams scheduled in September.
