Sentencing For Fireman’s Murder

The last of three people charged in the slaying of a veteran Detroit firefighter is scheduled to be sentenced today.
59 year old David Madrigal had been killed in December of 2015.

Medical authorities say he died from blunt force trauma to the head, reportedly from a gym weight.

His house had been ransacked and a safe taken.

Nicole O’Neill pled guilty a 2nd degree murder charge and will be sentenced today to between 20 and 50 years in prison.

Police say O’Neill knew Madrigal went to his home with her boy friend Timmy Soto and Christian Rasnick to rob him.

Rasnick is currently serving a 10-30 year prison term.

Soto, who reportedly hit Madrigal with the gym weight, was previously sentenced to between 38 and 82 years in prison.
