A mother has been charged in connection to her son’s accidental shooting after he found a gun in her purse.
The woman is charged with second degree child abuse and felony firearms violations. She has not been identified.
The nine year old shot himself Saturday morning in an apartment off the Lodge Freeway and Grand Blvd. The gun was registered to the mother who has a concealed carry permit.
