Fed Ex makes a new delivery today in Oak Park: jobs.
Fed Ex will open the doors to a new distribution center in Oak Park at the site of the old Detroit Artillery Armory, which closed years ago. It’s a major boost for Oak Park. Fed Ex will eventually employ hundreds at the new facility. It features the latest scanning and sorting technology for the company, to enhance faster delivery of packages. Fed Ex will also employ local contractors to help deliver packages. Many of those trucking companies employ dozens of people.
