2 Michigan Children Die Of Flu

Two Michigan children have died of the flu during this flu season.

The deaths involve one child from northern Michigan and one child from western Michigan and are the first two influenza pediatric deaths of the flu season, according to the state health department.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services recommended everyone 6 months of age and older get a seasonal flu vaccine, and says it’s not too late to get vaccinated.

The department especially recommends vaccinations for young children, people over 65, pregnant women and people with underlying medical conditions.
