Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Glencetta Gloster-Washington, 39 of Detroit, in connection with the death of her newborn daughter.
On March 26, at the family home in the 3500 block of Yorkshire in Detroit, relatives discovered Gloster-Washington bleeding and unresponsive and took her to a local hospital. It is alleged that the defendant was determined to have recently given birth. Detroit Police officers were dispatched to the location and discovered the remains of a newborn female in a garbage bag in a trash container outside of the residence.
Gloster-Washington has been charged with Murder – First Degree, Felony Murder – First Degree and Concealing the Death of an Individual.
