Update On I-96 Crash

The double tragedy on the Jeffries Freeway.
A 47 year woman, a physician, and a 16 year old on his way to a school event are in critical condition. So is a 17 year old who slammed into them when they stopped to help a car load of teenagers who crashed on the freeway Sunday morning.
Car number one, an SUV, slammed into the median on the Jeffries at Fullerton .The people in two vehicles, the doctor and the teenaged boy, stopped to try to help them. That’s when the 3rd vehicle, driven by a 17 year old, ran into them.
Lt. Denise Powell, commander of metro South post of Michigan State Police, says a trooper arrived quickly and applied a tourniquet to the 16 year old who lost his foot and suffered broken bones. He is identified as Sean English. Sean is a junior at University of Detroit Jesuit High School.
The teen who slammed into them may have been drunk. The 6 teens in vehicle number 1 suffered minor injuries.
