Ford will be moving employees and facilities into two high-profile buildings in Taylor.
Ford and the city of Taylor say Ford will occupy the old Masco headquarters on Van Born Road, and a vacant K-Mart store next door. Ford has also leased a big former retail store owned by Masco. The moves are part of Ford’s long-term transformation project involving it’s properties in Dearborn. The company plans to re-locate 30-thousand employees in 70 buildings into two primary locations. Filling the former Masco headquarters and the K-Mart is a relief for Taylor– concerned about large vacant buildings— and for Ford, for whom the Masco property fits well with their facility plans.
