A man who dove into the Clinton River to save a child in Mt. Clemens has died. Police say a 3 year old boy was walking with his mother on the boardwalk along the river. He accidentally fell into the water. A family friend jumped in to try to save the boy. So did a nearby fisherman. He was able to save the little boy. But the other man didn’t come up, as the horrified mother watched. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department says the boy and the man who saved him will be ok. The name of the 24 year old man who died has not been released.
