Teen Dead, Brother Held In Sterling Heights

A Sterling Heights teenager is dead… his older brother is held for setting the fire that killed him.
Authorities say 17 year old Matthew Marrocki-Yaldo died in the fire at the house on Bloomingdale in Sterling Heights this morning. Fire investigators say they found an accelerant used to set the fire on the first story of the two-story home. They say Marrocki-Yaldo was asleep in a bedroom upstairs and died of apparent smoke inhalation. Two adults suffered smoke inhalation.
Police have the victim’s 20 year old brother in custody. No charges have been filed.
